Lorraine Knott has been studying art for two years and considers herself very much an amateur.

“Shirley Howells is my teacher and I attend her class once a week; she really inspires and encourages me, ”she says. "Unfortunately, this is the only time I have to paint or sketch. At this stage I am eager to try painting anything just to gain experience. I have not yet achieved a style of my own.”

Lorraine and her husband have a popular little restaurant and gallery in the Shongweni Valley called The Treehouse, which hosts the work of various artists. Contact her on 031 769-1406 for further information.
