Once again it is time for art lovers in Pietermaritzburg to enjoy the popular annual KZN Schools Art Exhibition after its time at the Durban Art Gallery. The best matric art will be on display. Many visitors, young and old, are expected to visit the Tatham and see the exciting progress that young artists are making in painting, ceramics, drawing, sculpture, print-making and other fields.

This year the art teachers of KZN have been asked to submit their work for their own exhibition at the same time as their matric students. The exhibition opens in the Tatham Art Gallery’s West Gallery and runs alongside the KZN School Art Exhibition which opens in the Main Gallery on May 7 at 18h00 and closes on June 9.
