Still on show at the Durban Art Gallery until July 30 are two highly interesting exhibitions. The German Expressionists Exhibition in the Circular Gallery and features 121 works of art by 16 German artists who worked during the years 1911 to 1933 (World War Era ). Among the artists represented are Kandinsky, Klee, Kircher, Marc to mention just a few.

In the foyer space is Banners of Twilight which comprises fabric paintings and prints by the Ipopeng - Build Yourself project based in Pretoria. This exhibition reveals talent from so called "street children" from Mamelodi, Sunnyside and Mabopane township. The resulting dynamic, large, colourful banners have different themes inspired from influences in the childrens’ daily life such as music, urban scenes of houses, transport and mystical animals and figures.
