Ardmore ceramist Bonie Ntshalintshali died tragically last year at the age of 32 from an illness exacerbated by AIDS. A memorial exhibition is currently running at the Tatham Art Gallery Ceramics Room as a tribute to her brave life and to her unique view of the world.

Ntshalintshali acquired an international reputation for her vivid figurative ceramics and won several awards for her work, including the Standard Bank Young Artist of the Year Award in 1990, which she shared with her erstwhile teacher Fee Halsted-Berning.

The exhibition is sponsored by the Department of Arts, Culture, Science and Technology.
