Opening on January 17 at 17h30 at the African Art Centre will be an exhibition by young artist Kuben Pillay.

He will exhibit landscapes – both real and imaginery. Painting in oil and acrylic, Kuben studied under the late Professor Tom Matthews at the University of Durban-Westville and received his Masters degree in Fine Arts in 1994. He is currently the art teacher for Umfolosi High School.

The exhibition, which will be opened by fine art lecturer and printmaker Jannie van Heerden, features paintings done in the year 2000.
