The African Art Centre’s Saturday morning art classes for young people and its resulting Velobala exhibition are funded by The National Arts Council.

Some 21 young people have benefited from attending classes administered by the AAC which runs classes throughout the year. These cover drawing, printmaking, colour reduction and linocuts, design principle and textile printing as well as sculpture and jewellery making.

The exhibition will be opened by Chris de Beer, head of Technikon Natal’s jewellery department, at 12h00 on December 9.
