Isaac Khanyile is undeniably one of KZN’s most exciting young artists. Winner of the 1998 Volkskas Atelier Award exhibition, he has exhibited widely overseas as well as in South Africa.

From December 11 to 14, Technikon Natal Gallery will host an exhibition of mixed media which consists of work submitted for the artist’s MTech Degree at Technikon Natal. Profoundly attached to his Zulu culture, Isaac uses traditional materials such as beadwork, grass, weaving and clay to create powerful and innovative works which explore Zulu traditional spirituality and myth.

Gallery hours are Monday to Thursday from 08h30 to 16h00. More details from curator Frances van Melsen on (031) 204-2207.
