Anarkali, the restaurant that specialises in North Indian cuisine will launch its own gallery at 13 Marriott Road in Durban shortly.

The purpose of this gallery is to serve as a venue for up-and-coming artists to exhibit their work and for the artworks in turn to enhance the ambience of the restaurant.

From July 18, an exhibition will open of paintings by Yusuf Vahed, Sherene Timol and Uma Prakash. The works range from quiet meditative pieces to vivacious and colourful paintings inspired by Indian miniatures and Bollywood glamour.
