Siphiwe Zulu is a young artist who has recently entered into the Technikon Natal fine art department’s Art Foundation Course. He has been painting for a number of years and has his own special style which is full of expression using bright colours and impressionistic brush strokes.

He likes to depict current events and some of the titles of the paintings communicate his interest of the Queen's visit to the Commonwealth Conference, New Year 2000, Homage to Tito Zungu who died in January this year, Tourist Junction, where the African Art Centre and township landscapes with billboards announcing - "You deserve it!” which could be taken positively or negatively!. He also has a great sense of humour which comes through in works such as "Jumping into the Millenium" which shows as white goat running from a green hunter".

This is a colourful and interesting exhibition of a young artist, definitely worth a visit! It will be opened on May 10 at 17h30 by Paul Mikula of the Architects Collaborative
