Next month sees the opening of The Three Generations Gallery in Hillcrest hosted by three generations: father, daughter and grandson. The father is none other than well-known sculptor Basil `Buck’ Jones. His daughter works under her maiden name of Marjorie Jones and they are both presented with stiff competition from her son and Buck’s grandson, Keith Roderick.

It’s not the first time that Buck and Marjorie have worked together. They ran a ceramics school in the early 1980’s and Buck still runs this today as a sculpture school

The venue for the Three Generations Gallery will be Marjorie and Keith’s home in Hillcrest, which is set high on a hill overlooking valleys on both sides. It is set in a garden full of statues and luxuriant foliage bearing testimony to Keith’s abilities as a qualified landscape technologist

The Three Generations Gallery, which opens on June 20, will feature works by Buck, Marjorie and Keith. For details and directions phone 75-1036.
