Platteland Scapes is an exhibition by Rosendal painter William Pretorius – his first in KwaZulu-Natal.

Pretorius paints with oil on canvas. Quirky scenes of retired VW kombis set out to pasture in the veld; seasonal landscapes painted in and around the beautiful Rosendal; broken-down old country homes with smashed windows and eager weeds. His work is can be amazingly detailed – sometimes with almost a sense of photorealism; or more abstract.

Platteland Scapes is running at the Fresh Paint Gallery at 60 Davenport Rd, Glenwood. For more information, contact the Gallery on 031 201 8367.
