This year the Pietermaritzburg Botanical Gardens celebrates the centenary of the planting of the avenue of plane trees – a major feature of the gardens.

In conjunction with the Strelitzia Room restaurant in the gardens, local photographer Leon Heyes is staging an exhibition of his latest photographs of the gardens from 09h00 to 16h00.

There is a nominal entrance fee at the Gardens' gate and all work on the exhibition is for sale.
