Running at artSPACE durban is an exhibition titled Forward by Sarah Richards who is currently a Masters student of Fine Art at the Durban Institute of Technology. Forward is an exhibition of paintings in partial requirement of her Masters degree.

This body of work shows the complex layering of her experience with the creative process. She started the journey of the Masters because she was experiencing ‘artist’s block’. Levels of fear and apprehension essentially blocked her creative process. The paintings show this struggle between “that which flows and that which hinders”.

artSPACE is situated in Millar Road off Umgeni Road (opposite the Waste Centre). Contact 031 312 0793.
