Elements of Art is an exhibition that looks at the importance of communication, using visual language as the means of expression. This exhibition is a collaboration of different art disciplines from different women who are coming from different backgrounds. It is an exploration of different medium such as painting, drawing, prints, textile design, craft and fashion.

Artists involved in the exhibition include Eira Sands, Gloria Nozipho Mbhele, Makhosazane Ndlovu, Fikile Zimu, Hlengiwe Buthelezi, Winnie Ngcobo, Nokuthula Bhengu, Xolile Mazibuko, Busi Zulu, Charlene Nel, Phelela Ndlovu, and Catherine Stempowski. Two of the organisations involved are Zamukuphila Project and Umqhele Wentunthuko.

Elements of Art runs until September 4 in the Menzi Mchunu and Democratic Galleries at the BAT Centre in the Small Crafts Harbour. More information from Njabulo Mtshali on 031 332 0451.
