Tamasa Gallery will host an exhibition of sculpture by Durban artist Gerald Baise from June 5 to 19.

Meandering in different directions, this general exhibition continues the artist's love affair with wood, both indigenous and non- indigenous.

Wood is a living material and provides a challenge of grain and resistance. The sculptures are based on a passion for shape, form and tactility, often borrowing from organic forms which act as a starting point. The process then takes one on a journey to different destinations.

This exhibition includes concepts from a recent overseas trip which was very inspirational.
