Opening in the Bean Bag Bohemia Reception Gallery on May 9 at 18h00 will be an exhibition titled In my mind by Cathy Stempowski.

Cathy Stempowski's work has an unusual detachment, reminiscent of outsider art , she uses oil, charcoal and writing to liberate and document her internal world and encourages her students to heal through such release.

The instillation show will feature a written text covering the walls from ceiling to the floor... taken from Cathy's personal journal, describing her three previous births. Cathy has worked extensively with the rehabilitation and healing of head trauma through art therapy and this has influenced her new work. Her paintings inspired by victims of head injuries will be hung over the text.

The instillation will also feature a selection of floating nude sketches suspended from the ceiling of the gallery. The show aims at simulating a sense of the internal workings of the mind.
