Opening in the Schreiner Gallery in the Tatham Art Gallery in Pietermaritzburg next week is Exploring the Figure, an exhibition of drawings, pastels and watercolours, all based on the human figure.

The artists are members of the Mark Group, which had its origins in the life drawing classes run by Macs. The core group draws from live models at a member's home. The exhibition highlights the process of art-making and shows the journey of a group of artists working together.

Well known art educator Jeanette Gilks will open the exhibition on January 25 at 18h00. The exhibition runs until March 11. More information on 033 392 2801.
