Running at the Durban Art Gallery until December 3 is Towards a New Future-Sizoshinisa Impilo Yethu. This is an art and craft exhibition with a difference!

On display are the many creative talents of offenders (prisoners) who are making the most of the opportunities available to them to learn new skills in art and craft production. This exhibition provides a rare opportunity to view these talents and skills which are normally only seen inside the prison walls.

This annual project is a public-private partnership between the Regional Office of the Department of Correctional Services and NICRO KwaZulu Natal (National Institute for Crime Prevention and the Reintegration of Offenders).

Art and craft will be on sale. For more details contact Irene Dugmore, Project Manager: NICRO, on 033 345 4425 or 082 200 3928.
