Bonisa Private Gallery’s next Open Day on August 6 hosts an exhibition titled All about Life which features a series of figure drawings done during life classes.

The work is expressive, experimental and gestural and the artists exhibiting are Lesley Magwood-Fraser, Gayle Walters, Patty Douglas, Diane Sampson, Gail James, Mike Brightman, Colin Meyer, Carin de Kock, Gloria Adams, Val Ziady and Renee Leslie.

Many of the artists are "Garret Artists", a group co-ordinated and instructed by Jeanette Gilks who is renowned for using innovative and unconventional teaching methods.

Well known Durban sculptor Carl Roberts will be judging and selecting the three best artworks on show. Much of this work is reasonably priced. Samples can be seen on Bonisa’s website at www.bonisa.co.za

A popular feature of Bonisa’s Open Days will be John Simpson who will be working on his attractive Japanese styled greeting cards.
