The next meeting of Arts Interactive takes place on June 7 at 18h00 for 18h30 at La Rustica (part of Cottonfields) in Umhlanga Rocks. The theme for the meeting is Artists and the Market and takes the form of a group discussion.

Discussion will be held on the following topics:

Unionising the arts - good or bad?

How would it affect us?

Falling Art Sales – booming economy?

In the past few years the art groups have largely been hobby-groups. Should they play a greater role?

The consignment means of acquiring art became widespread towards the end of the 80's. Was this a good thing and how has it affected the arts?
