Running at the Voortrekker Museum in Pietermaritzburg until the end of January is the Robben Island Struggle Ink exhibition. This looks at the role of posters as a weapon in the struggle for freedom in South Africa, particularly in the decade before 1994.

Most of the posters on display were designed and produced by ordinary people who were part of community organisations and NGOs from the apartheid years.

Museum hours are 09h00 to 16h00 on weekdays (Saturdays 09h00 to 13h00).
