The long awaited new Arts Centre of the University of Johannesburg, comprising a beautiful art gallery and 435 seat theatre, opened on October 5. We will have three equally stunning, but very different productions on stage during October, as well as a interesting exhibition in the Art Gallery.

A commissioned land art exhibition marked the opening. Entitled Messages from the Southern Earth it features land-art works by the internationally famous artist Strijdom van der Merwe and is open to the public.
