The Circle of Life Quilt Exhibition 2005 is an Art initiative co-ordinated by Lynn Nicholas. This initiative has been opened to junior schools in and around Durban. Its objective has been to promote creativity in the classroom.

The exhibition showcases works done by Junior Schools in Durban and surrounding areas. It is an initiative co-ordinated by Lynn Nicholas to promote creativity in the classroom, and perhaps give the children an opportunity to work with a different medium i.e. fabrics instead of paper.

The theme this year has been The Circle Of Life. The children have been encouraged to explore the title and interpret the theme as they see fit. SEWZONE provided the main materials for the schools to work with.

This was a project that worked extremely well last year in Pietermaritzburg, and this year it is Durban's turn to showcase children's creative abilities.

The Circle of Life Quilt Exhibition 2005 will run from October 10 to 28 at the DIT Gallery, Durban Institute of Technology Steve Biko Campus; 51 Mansfield Rd.; Gate 2; LC block; First floor. The opening takes place on October 10 at 17h30 for 18h00.
