Born in Johannesburg, RoseLee Gahler is a South African sculptor who has lived in Switzerland for many years but visits South Africa regularly and sells some of her work from a base in Umhlanga Rocks.

In the past five years she has taken various courses in Zurich, including jewellery design, photography, abstract painting, plastic design and sculpture.

Her most recent work includes a series of African sculptures called Roots. Most of them are in bronze and have been cast in South Africa. Her sculptures have been sold here and in Europe. She has participated in several successful exhibitions in Switzerland and will be holding a solo exhibition in Zurich in November.

Apart from sculptures she exhibits photographs and is now working on a new technique of placing photographs on plexiglas.

RoseLee is selling some pieces in South Africa through her sister Nola Dell, who lives at Umhlanga Rocks. More information on 031 561 6711 or 083 761 6711.
