What is the youth of KZN doing in terms of arts and craft? Plenty, plenty, plenty – and some of it very good, indeed. You can see a selection of work by secondary students in the Durban Art Gallery’s current KwaZulu-Natal Schools Art Exhibition.

Particularly interesting are the works that have come from impoverished schools that do not have access to art materials and have had to create works from scrap. The fascinating works that have resulted are proof of what young and enquiring minds can achieve under the guidance of an innovative and creative teacher. The exhibition runs until May 23.
