Running at the Tatham Art Gallery in Pietermaritzburg from December 14 until February 13 is an exhibition curated by the Durban Art Gallery that traces Azaria Mbatha's development as an artist from his first linocuts to some of his recent works, and includes screenprints, etchings and drawings.

Mbatha, one of South Africa's finest printmakers, has lived in Sweden for the past 33 years, yet he maintains that he is still close to the little village of Mabeka in KZN’s Mahlabathini district where he was born. "Identity is not a question of geography," he says. Don’t miss this superb exhibition.
