Running in the Tatham Art Gallery in Pietermaritzburg is Secrecy of Shelters by Eritrean artist Petros Ghebrehiwot. The exhibition contains both oil paintings and ceramic pieces.

There is a lot of mystery in Ghebrehiwot's work: fantastical structures that incorporate shapes derived from science, as well as the sense of something hidden just out of sight. From March 9 to 11, the artist will be working in the gallery as artist-in-residence.

The exhibition runs until March 20. More information on 033 342 1804.
