Works by Zakhele Hlatswayo, who is a Pietermaritzburg artist and educator well-known for his involvement in sport, music, drama and writing will be exhibited in the Tatham Art Gallery’s West Gallery from April 22 to May 16.

Zakhele has coached sports and founded choirs as well as having written and produced dramas and illustrated books. He regards himself as an “expressionist” because of the passionate nature of his work. He recently produced a series of ceramic sculptures with a biblical theme, and these form the core of this exhibition.
