Promoting, supporting and exposing the work of emerging artists of South Africa to the public is the drive behind the Sasol New Signatures Competition 2004. This important annual competition presented by the Association of Arts Pretoria and sponsored by SASOL is open to all artists who are older than 18 years.

Many previous winners have gone on to become highly regarded South African and international artists building an ongoing vital and dynamic foundation to the visual arts in our country.

Being one of South Africa’s most prestigious art competitions it’s a must to add to artists’ 2004 calendar. A maximum of two works per artist may be submitted on July 7 and 8, 2004, between 10h00 and 16h00 on both days.

The competition prize-giving takes place on July 21 at the Pretoria Art Museum and an exhibition of selected works will be on display at the same venue until August 19.

Entry forms and more details on collection points will be available from April 23 from the Association of Arts Pretoria, on 012 346 3100.
