The Trevor Makhoba Memorial Retrospective exhibition will open at the Durban Art Gallery in October or November 2004. Curator Jill Addleson has announced that works will be borrowed for the exhibition from all museum and corporate collections in South Africa, as well as from private owners.

To commemorate Trevor Makhoba as one of the most significant chroniclers of contemporary life in South Africa, KZN artists are invited to contribute no more than three lines on Trevor Makhoba as a person or on his art. This will be for publication in the catalogue in a section called Pages of Remembrance.

Artists should send their contributions as soon as possible to Jill Addleson at the Durban Art Gallery, PO Box 4085, Durban, 4001. Tributes can be written in Zulu or in English.
