“Scroll Landscapes” is an exhibition presented by Garret, Artists, an art group co-ordinated by Jeanette Gilks. It will be on display in the West Gallery at the Tatham Art Gallery in Pietermaritzburg from July 10 to August 10.

The exhibition will be opened by Ginny Heath, director of the Centre for Visual Art, University of Natal.

A Durban fibre artist Jeanette Gilks is well-known for her innovative drawing classes. Discussin Scroll Landcapes, she says: “Fragile and intensely personal, these landscapes plot a journey through landscape, both interior and exterior. They also illustrate my teaching methods. This exhibition thus reveals a collaboration between students and tutor, thinking and feeling, knowledge and revelation.”

The Tatham Art Gallery is situated opposite the Pietermaritzburg City Hall.
