They were a sold-out hit at the Hilton Festival, and now they’re back in KZN for one-week only at the Heritage Theatre in Hillcrest from November 1 to 6.

They are the inimitable Rory Rootenberg and Lana English in Behind the Mask, billed as “an unforgettable evening of love and pathos, song and surprise”.

Following their starring roles in the recent South African production of The Phantom of the Opera, the duo team up to bring audiences music from the incredible Andrew Lloyd Webber to Afrikaans liedjies, Robbie Williams and fantastic Freddy Mercury.

“It’s a wonderful, feel good show with music to warm your soul,” says Rootenberg.

Scripted by Michelle Simpson with artistic consultancy by Ian von Memerty, Behind the Mask promises to leave audiences spellbound.

Behind the Mask runs from November 1 to 6. All shows R150 including a two-course meal (R120 on Tuesday, November 1, and Sunday lunchtime show on November 6). A separate a la carte dessert menu is also available.

Booking essential through The Heritage Theatre on 031 765 4197.
