Barbie Meyer has written, created, put together a show encompassing her two “greatest passions”: chocolate & music.

Chocolate is a charming show that spans centuries and countries to focus on the romance of this delicious commodity. Through hilarious factual storytelling and music, Chocolate takes a light-hearted look at chocolate addiction, chocolate myths and the five international chocolate personalities.

The show features vibrant duo Barbie Meyer and Laura Guest, supported by innovative pianist Louis Kruger.

Laura Guest teaches drama at Evangel Christian School and Louis Kruger helped Barbie adapt classic favourites for the songs and lyrics.

The director is Bets Basson, who worked with Barbie on the highly successful Herman Charles Bosman play. She ran a speech and drama clinic in Johannesburg, as well as the drama department of the Johannesburg College of Education’s Centre for Gifted Children. She is an honorary member of the Board of Adjudicators and has published three books on drama.
