In July 2003, The Dockyard pulsed with energy with Masters of Rock, Stuart Mey's tribute to the rock bands of the 1970's. For the venue’s "end of year" show, the Dockyard will present the sequel, Rock Solid, to be previewed on October 14 to 16.

"Patrons are forever requesting shows that celebrate some of the best loved rock acts of the 70's and 80's" says Stuart. "When we staged Masters of Rock last year we could have included a whole lot of other artists but there just wasn't room on the programme. This time we will include most of the acts we left out and we will also pay tribute to some of the "Rock Chics" like The Bangles, Madonna and Stevie Nicks.”

The programme will include the following acts: Fleetwood Mac, Crosby Stills & Nash, Eric Clapton, Gary Moore, Golden Earring, Toto, Jimi Hendrix, Rolling Stones, The Who as well as a touch of Deep Purple.

Rock Solid will feature the usual high standards of the Dockyard Showband and is expected to run until January 9, 2005. Bookings are available for corporate end-of-year functions.
