On July 14, which celebrates French Independence, a Bastille Day dinner and concert will be presented at Christina's Restaurant in Florida Road with a musical programme provided by Nuts4Music.

Three of Durban's finest classical musicians - soprano Stacey Almond, KZNPO Concert Master Hristo Kardjiev and pianist Gerhard Geist - will present a programme of French songs and music. The items range from opera to popular musicals and other classic favourites for piano and violin.

The programme will include music from Carmen by Bizet, Herodiade by Massenet, and Clair de Lune by Debussy as well as a number from Les Miserables. Also featured will be works by Ravel, Cole Porter, Charles Aznavour and Michele Legrand.

A four-course meal of gourmet French food will be served in between the concert by Christina Martin's. The evening begins at 19h00 with starters at 19h30 and the concert at 20h00. Tickets R150 include meal and concert. Tickets must be pre-booked, as space is limited and selling out quickly.
