NB: as of 23 September 2008, all new artSMart articles are being published on the site news.artsmart.co.za. The dynamic music revue, Masters of Rock, currently playing to packed houses at The Dockyard Supper Theatre, has been extended for a further 10 performances. The show features the music of the greatest rock bands of the 70’s, such as Uriah Heep, The Doobie Bros, Led Zeppelin, Dire Straits, Queen and more. Due to public demand, the show has been extended for a further 10 performances and will now close on September 14. In Masters of Rock Stuart Mey has brought together a top class, highly talented group of musicians and vocalists. Bruce Boom and Gerald Knott are on guitar with Ian Webster on drums. Musa Mtetwa on keyboard and Mark Whittaker on congas. Vocalists are Stuart Mey, Derek Anderson and Shanthan. The audience is invited to try their drumming skills with drum sticks which are provided on the tables. Performances Tuesdays to Sundays. Tickets range from R135 to R170 and include a three course meal (discount prices on Tuesdays and Sundays). Book at Computicket or at Dockyard on 031 332 1086.
