The Highway Intimate Theatre (HITS), formerly Pinetown Reps, will present Run for Your Wife, a farce by Ray Cooney running from November 5 to 7 and again from November 11 to 14. The play deals with John Smith, a London cab driver who has a wife in Wimbledon and one in Streatham and, consequently, a knife-edged schedule! Everything goes swimmingly until one day he gallantly intervenes in a mugging and lands himself in hospital with mild concussion. In the ensuing complications, he tries to cope with a succession of well-meaning but prying policemen, the press, a gay neighbour and – not surprisingly - two increasingly irate wives!
