Da Joint Is Jumpin’ is the title of a new comedy show from The Family Players to run at Rhumbelow Theatre in the first weekend in October.

“It features the normal mad troopers and this show is a must,” says organiser Roland Stansell. “If you thought it safe to visit a bar in Durban ....., well you have not been to the Rhumbelow Lounge recently. Every drag and her dog has decided that they want to be a star and what better venue than Rhumbelow. Songs in the show include everything you thought you might want to hear sung in a bar … and - well, every thing you thought you never wanted to hear sung in a bar.”

With many productions moving to Hilton College for the Natal Witness Hilton Arts Festival over this weekend, Da Joint is Jumpin’ represents a “NOT the HILTON FESTIVAL” offering.

Performances October 4 and 5 at 19h00 for 19h30 with the show starting at 20h30 and on October 6 at 17h00 for 17h30 with the show at 18h30. Tickets R40.

Please remember that the food arrangements have changed at Rhumbelow - bring food picnic baskets and braais will be stoked up for those who wish to cook some meat. A cash bar is available.

Booking is essential. Contact Roland on (h) 031 205-7602 or Cell 082 499-8636 or email roland@stansell.za.net
