Arno Carstens, one of South Africa’s most respected vocalists, will perform two shows only at The Barnyard Theatre at Gateway

Arno has performed for ten years as the lead singer of the celebrated rock band The Springbok Nude Girls, and has been working as a solo artist for the last four years.

Arno will appear at The Barnyard with Albert Frost. Alone on stage together they produce an unplugged acoustic show that showcases Albert’s extraordinary guitar-playing skills and Arno’s powerful voice.

During his career as the lead singer of The Springbok Nude Girls, and subsequently as a solo artist, Arno Carstens has released eight albums; achieved four times platinum in CD sales; had nine number one hit singles; won five South African Music Awards (four for Best Rock Album and one for Best Adult Contemporary Album); and has toured internationally eight times.

He has also shared the stage with the likes of INXS, The Beastie Boys, Lenny Kravitz, The Cult, Smashing Pumpkins, The Offspring, REM and, most recently, Metallica.

Performances take place on April 18 and 19. Tickets R120 pp and seating will be as for normal shows, with no standing room. Phone The Barnyard Theatre on 031 566 3045 for bookings or e-mail gateway@barnayrdtheatre.co.za for enquiries and further details.
