Dockyard Theatre is now comfortably ensconced at Musgrave Theatre which, while it lacks its former stunning harbour views, is now far more accessible to theatre goers.

The show running over the festive season is Latino Magic, featuring the sassy music of countries like Brazil, Cuba, Mexico and Argentina. Expect to hear numbers made famous by Gloria Estefan and the Miami Sound Machine, Carlos Santana, Ricky Martin, Enrique Iglesius, Christina Aguliera, Jennifer Lopez and many more.

Director and producer Stuart Mey has drawn upon the experienced gained from previous year end shows. “At this time of year we entertain a lot of year end parties for companies and private groups,” he says. “All they want to do is party, get up and dance, make a noise and have a good time - not to mention sip an exotic cocktail or five,” says Stuart. “It is with this in mind that we are presenting a year-end party for you to remember.”

The Dockyard Show band features usual members, drummer Ian Webster, assistant musical director and keyboard player Musa Mtetwa, young guitarist David Knott, and bassist Benoit Grigaut. Fronting them will be Andrew Jones on percussion and vocals as well as Gino Veronie and Yvette Barnard also on vocals. Keeping the fun going, the program will be hosted by everybody’s favourite Mexican, Speedy Gonzales

The show runs through to Dockyard’s New Year’s bash on December 31. Bookings through Karen or Melissa on 031 201 9147.
