A brand new supper-theatre venue is opening up in Umhlanga – alongside the Umhlanga Bowling Club. Called Stars Showbar and Supper Theatre, the venue is being run by experienced effervescent theatre impresarios Julie de Jager and Colin Sumner.

Their opening season is Let’s Party! – perfect fun, frothy and fabulous festive season fare – featuring a bevy of singers and dancers. The format of Stars is slightly different from conventional supper theatres as it caters for a full evening out for the more sophisticated thirty something-plus audiences. Patrons can enjoy a two course meal, followed by the show Let’s Party! followed by a late night party featuring an MC/DJ and evergreen party music until late. There is a smoking lounge and the bar stays open after the show.

Julie and Colin are seasoned entertainers and know that the perfect mix for a memorable night out is great food, a fun show and for the relaxed, party atmosphere to continue after the performers take their final bow. There will be special themed evenings – so look out for reunion nights, comedy nights and ladies nights during the run.

Let’s Party! runs from October 25 until January 2007. Reservations are now open for the festive season. Stars Showbar and Supper Theatre is situated opposite The Cabana Beach Hotel, 19 Lagoon Drive, Umhlanga Rocks. More information or bookings on 031 561 5709.
