While husband Philipp Maier is performing in Piaf, Brel and Aznavour: It Was a Good Time in the Playhouse Cellar, wife Melanie Roberts is performing a solo show at the Edward Hotel’s Brasserie restaurant. Titled My Favourite Things , the show includes light patter about the time she spent performing in Dubai and Munich, where she recorded her backing tapes with Durban musos Chantal Sanders on piano and Pilani Ngidi on bass.

Musical items include I Say a Little Prayer, Satin Doll, All of Me, S’Wonderful, As Time Goes By, Night and Day and Cheek to Cheek as well as up-tempo numbers such as Georgia and Makin’ Whoopee.
