The Durban City Orchestra will perform at the Elizabeth Sneddon Theatre on May 11 and 12 at 19h30. Under the baton of Philipp Maier, the DCO will perform classical items as well as songs from Gershwin, Sondheim and old favourites such as Cabaret, New York New York and the great John Miles number Music which Philipp Maier has especially arranged for the orchestra.

The two evenings form part of the fundraising campaign to support the DCO which desperately needs funds to continue operating.

Heading the bill are well-known singers Melanie Roberts and Pinkie Mtshali. The programme includes themes from the James Bond movies, Shadow of your Smile, Moon River and Mozart’s Titus Overture. Philipp Maier will also conduct and play Mozart’s Piano Concerto B major K450.
