The Hansa Pilsener Cool Sounds Songwriting Competition offers two songwriting contracts. The winner also stands to receive R10,000 in cash, in addition to which the organisation offers R10,000’s worth of marketing support.

Songs will judged on originality, creativity, melody and lyrics. Other factors taken into consideration will be the artistic value of the piece and the quality and consistency of the song. Songs should be recorded on cassette or CD and accompanied by clearly-written lyrics. The entry form is available in Pace Magazine and entries close on November 30.
