The University of KwaZulu-Natal holds regular free lunch-hour concerts on the Howard College campus.

May 5: A graduate of the UKZN School of Music’s African Music and Dance Programme, Azanah, and her band, will perform an eclectic array of traditional and modern compositions influenced by a range of musical styles which include umakhweyana bow, house music and Afro-Jazz.

May 12: Prince Bulo & Vanessa Moodley. Having recently returned from a student exchange with the University of Iowa, USA, Prince (bass) and Vanessa (voice) will perform selections of original music and Jazz standards with Burton Naidoo (piano) and Donovan Jacobs (drums).

May 14: Jazz Voice Students. A selection of singers studying Jazz Voice with Karin Bengmark.

May 19: Opera Ensemble. Directed by Andrew Warburton, OSCA's renowned Opera Ensemble will perform a varied programme of opera and oratorio.

The free lunch-hour concerts take place at Howard College Theatre from 12h15 to 13h00 unless otherwise stated. Additional Wednesday concerts will be presented throughout the semester - watch press for details or contact Debbie Mari on 031 260 3353.
