A prestigious date on the South African music calendar is on the horizon, so get your diary out and block off the weekend of May 2 and 3 because that’s when the 14th Annual MTN SA Music Awards hits Sun City.

The MTN SA Music Awards has become synonymous with top quality performances, high-stakes competition and electric atmospheres. Enjoying the main event on May 3 in the flesh is the best way to experience it, but if you can’t be there, then you can catch the live broadcast on SABC 1.

It’s the one weekend when Mzansi’s music community gets together to pay tribute to their top performers, outdo one another on stage and party ‘til the early hours. Early booking is advised because the organisers promise that “this year the event is going to surpass the incredibly high standards set in previous ones”.
