Along with eight other bands, Fruit Fly Navigators will perform on March 20 at The Winston for the Jamie’s benefit. March 24 will find them at the Southern Cross Festival before they return to Durban for a performance on March 31 at The Angel with the band Jane Doe.

In the March 2000 issue of Stage Magazine, Sven Blummer describes Fruit Fly Navigators as "Another promising young band produced by our good friend from Squeal, David Birch. The single of this CD, Happy is an immediate earspitser and is damn catchy. Atlantic Empire reminds of Live and shows off some lovely harmony in voice with ballad goes heavy wave of guitars. The last song sports a much more salient voice and a message which stresses a need for a change to a more sympathetic society. The guys are getting some good radioplay, and have broken down the big evil wall that obstructs young bands from getting into the SA music industry. A good effort, can't wait to see 'em live and check out some other material."-
