Exactly 12 months since its inception, the popular Botha’s Hill live music venue Luna Lounge is forced to close, due to lack of funds for rent.

“Our humble vision and ideas of working with our close community to bring together talented, creative, beautiful people turned into something much greater and out of our control,” explains Luna Lounge’s Debbie Alexander. “From the beginning, Luna Lounge has been Divinely guided and supported.

“I thank everyone that believed in Luna Lounge, everyone who has given so much - of their time, energy, money, artistic skills and unlimited talent and all the stuff that made it function. Thank you for enjoying the beauty with us and allowing your creative juices to flow. Nothing less than miracles have taken place here. So many people have utilized this space to be all they can be, blessed it with their intentions and used it for their sacred ceremonies and special times.

“One of my main visions is to create a platform where our local musicians are able to perform and get supported by the community as well as receive big sponsorships from those that can afford it.”

Anyone who has donated equipment or other items to Luna Lounge are asked to contact Debbie before October 7 otherwise anything that can be used for future projects will be reserved for this purpose with the rest being donated to charities.

The final party will take place on October 14 at 17h00. The featured artist is, appropriately, Syd Kitchen, who launched Luna Lounge. All are welcome
