Joanne Rozario completes her KZN visit with a classical chamber music recital of clarinet chamber music with Christopher Duigan (piano) and Boris and Elena Kerimov ( cello and violin). The recital will be presented by the Pietermaritzburg-based Music Revival.

The programme includes a Trio for clarinet, cello and piano by Zemlinksy, plus music by Bruch for this combination, and a trio for clarinet, violin and piano by Milhaud. Completing the programme is The Sonata No 1 for Clarinet by Brahms, another of the works composed for Richard Muhlfield who inspired Brahms to resume his composing career in his final years, as well as the sequence of Brahms clarinet works performed at the recent Hilton Arts Festival.

The concert takes place on September 23 at 15h00 at the St George’s Garrison Church in Pietermaritzburg. Entry by programme (R70) at the door. There is secure parking. More information from Music Revival on 033 342-3051 or e-mail: booking@musicrevival.co.za
