The next concert in the KZN Philharmonic Orchestra’s New Millennium Classical Calendar series takes place in the Playhouse Opera on February 10 and will be conducted by the KZNPO’s Conductor Laureate David Tidboald

Rhapsody is the title of the concert which opens with the Roman Carnival Overture by Berlioz, before spotlighting Joanne Rozario, KZNPO’s Principal Clarinettist, in Debussy’s Fantasy for Clarinet and Orchestra. Soloist Johnathan Oshry, one of Durban’s brightest musical talents, takes on the challenge of Saint Saëns’ virtuosic Piano Concerto No 2. The concert closes with Dvorak’s Symphony No 8.
